...Is a self-contained computer and touch screen monitor supporting commercial-off-the-shelf medical
devices. A sample of devices include; Blood Pressure/Pulse meter, Thermometer, Pulse Oximeter,
Glucose meter, or Digital Weight Scale.
...Contains embedded Blue Tooth wireless technology for select medical devices.
...Can be configured to communicate via standard telephone line, broadband, or cellular and does
not interfere with existing telephone service.
...Was designed and developed to maximize ease-of-use by both the health care professional and the
patient.
...Is available in two health assessment question formats:
Setting Up the Turtle 400 and Collecting Data.
Patients simply plug a phone line into the rear of the Turtle. Connect the health monitoring
devices to the Turtle. Then plug the power cord into and electrical outlet and turn the Turtle on.
Health data readings will be collected directly from the device(s) connected, or patients can manually
enter data readings from personal devices using the key pad entry option.
Answering the Health Assessment Questions
Patients launch the questions by pressing the question Icon on the screen. Then press the appropriate
response button displayed on the screen for each question. Certain questions have disease management
educational material that will be displayed for patients to review.
Sending the Collected Data and Assessment Responses
The Turtle 400 can be configured to automatically send the data session after the health assessment
has been completed and/or the patient can send the session by pressing the send button located on the
screen.
