Telemedicine involves the transfer of electronic medical data (i.e. high resolution images, sounds, live video and patient records) from one location to another via two main methodologies:
Referral Site With the General Telemedicine Workstation, referring sites simply input patient demographics using a user-friendly interface featuring auto-fill fields, drop-down menus, automated measurement and calculations, and a point-and-click documentation system. The workstation allows seamless switching between a host of medical devices through its device selection feature— easily integrating video devices, digital cameras, medical devices, and or scanners. All of these features simplify the acquisition of patient data for store-and-forward and interactive real-time consultations.
Consultation Site Scalable, easily customized, and featuring a versatile, generic patient record user interface, the General Telemedicine supports a broad range of clinical specialties which enhances the value of your Telehealth investment by increasing the volume and variety of profitable tele-consultations.
The General Telemedicine Consulting Workstation provides a unique set of tools that aid the consulting specialist in the reviewing and diagnosing of remote patient examinations. Powerful image measuring capabilities such as: panning, zooming, and a variety of magnifying settings; length, area, and angle measuring; and annotation including graphic, text and audio are all standard features integrated in the consultation solution.
In addition to store-and-forward referrals, the consultation workstation can accept real-time video examination referrals as well as initiate real-time consultation reviews. Unique consultating workstation capabilities include, remote-site video source device switching, camera control of remote-site video camera, and annotation using graphic and/or text during "live" video conferencing sessions. |
